Accounting Analyst

We have an immediate opening for an Accounting Analyst in our Overland Park office. Come join our global accounting and finance department. We operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and want you to help us as we grow the business. This is a unique opportunity to report to the Global Controller while gaining exposure to new business, financial reporting, risk, finance and accounting within a fun and creative environment. We value exceptional communication skills, a financial mindset, determination and the ability to figure it out, on the fly.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, global balance sheet reconciliations for corporate accounts
- Manage company insurance process including maintaining strong knowledge of Company insurance to respond to queries and COI requests
- Assist team with financial analysis relative to forecasting, budgeting and ongoing financial reporting
- Manage state and local business registrations
- Manage professional services contracts and approve related invoices
- Prepare weekly global cash reporting, lease accounting, intangible amortization and other corporate accounting journal entries
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors in multiple countries to fulfill document requests
- Organize electronic tracking and filing of key documents and contracts
- Assist supervisor and others in the Finance department with other tasks as assigned
Key Experience & Skills Needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred but not required
- 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- High level of proficiency with MS office products (Excel).
- Experience with analyzing information to make judgements
- Organization skills with a strong inquisitive mindset
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
- Tenacious about meeting deadlines
- Must have a positive attitude with an excitement to learn and the ability to multi-task
